Gewurztraminer Cuvée Des Seigneurs De Ribeaupierre, TRIMBACH, 6x75cl

Redolent of roses, lychees and spices, this immensely rich Gewurztraminer is so unctuous and viscous when young that it can seem slightly sweet even though it is fermented almost dry. This massive body is balanced by an almost chalky fresh minerality and extract with a result that the wine boasts the elegance and finesse which are the Trimbach trademark. This long-lived wine makes a fascinating aperitif but it is also a good accompaniment to foie gras or desserts based on fresh ripe fruit, and a brilliant match for spicy Asian and North African food.
