2012 Clos de Los Siete By Michel Rolland
15% Cabernet Sauvignon
FOOD MATCHING NOTE:
Ideal with Pan seared duck breast with wild rice, glaezed onions and spiced roasted plums.
Inky garnet in color, this wine smells of wet dirt, cassis, and dark dried cherries. Lush and polished, with a restrained sweetness and noteworthy nuance to the flavors of black raspberry and smoky minerality. The 2012 Clos de los Siete Shows a deep chocolatey ripeness but nicely maintains its freshness and balance. Really insidious flavour intensity here. Finishes with sweet, ripe tannins and building length. The palate is medium-bodied, with sleek tannins, good acidity and good length. This is a superbly-crafted wine at a good price."
