Grilled quail with wilted cabbage slaw, grilled flank steak with sautéed portabella and cremini mushrooms, grilled lamb shanks with a summer savoury mustard marinade.

TASTING NOTE:

La Chapelle de la Mission 2010, which includes production from the now defunct La Tour Haut-Brion vineyard, is a blend of 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot and the remaining Cabernet Franc, which is a high percentage for the latter variety. It is a great wine with loads of glycerin and classic Graves character: scorched earth, embers, charcoal, and lots of black cherries and black currants. The glycerin level is high, the fruit level impressive, and the purity and texture endearing.
