TASTING NOTE:

The small production (4,150 cases) of La Mission-Haut-Brion 2011 demonstrates the nobility and complexity of this great terroir. Aromas of embers, scorched earth, blueberries, black currants, licorice, and spices gush from the glass of this dense ruby/purple-colored wine. Full-bodied, but without hard edges, this opulent, multidimensional, fleshy, rich, surprisingly long, and well-balanced La Mission is another great achievement in what has been nearly a century of producing remarkable wines from this sacred vineyard.
