It's big full-flavoured wine needing big, powerful food. Spicy stews, rich beef or lamb dishes, or classic Italian sausage work well.

TASTING NOTE:

An open, spicy nose. Cedar aromas mingle with dense cherry, leather and wild fruit characters. The palate displays bitter cherry, mocha and a dried orange peel tang with a youthful sappy feel. The tannins are fine and evident yet well balanced with the fruit. This wine is Bordeaux-like in its structure and, delicious now, will continue to evolve over the next 5-10 years.
