Dang, this is funky and good. From Ian Cauble, MS: "100% Tintilla, a red variety from Jerez region of SW Spain that all but disappeared during the phylloxera epidemic of the late-19th century. Using cuttings from some abandoned vineyards untouched by phylloxera, Alberto Orte of Vara y Pulgar propagated enough Tintilla to create what he claims is the first varietal wine from the grape in more than a century." Dark color but medium body. As if Northern Rhone Syrah and Beaujolais Gamay had a love child.
