TASTING NOTE: 

Different, light-to-medium bodied. It is DRY and TANNIC. Almost like a Pinot noir meets Tannat meets nero d’avola. I had a number of glasses of this without food, so I can’t speak to that, but I bet a lighter fish-and-caper dish and/or tapenade would be awesome with it. This does need time to open up, as others have suggested, but also this is a bottle to enjoy when you’re looking for something interesting (and cheap) to bring to a party.
