FOOD MATCHING NOTE:

A marvellous companion to vegetable and smoked flavors, such as those of wild mushrooms and truffles. Combines nicely with subtly spiced dishes and unsmoked, medium-cured soft cheeses.

TASTING NOTE:

This wine is intense garnet in colour with ruby hues. On the nose, there are complex aromas of ripe plum, blackberry and blackcurrant combining with layers of cocoa, sweet spice and tobacco notes. This wine exhibits an earthy minerality, a common characteristic of wines made from grapes sourced from the low yielding ‘Viña Lanciano’ estate. This wine has a long, lingering finish.
