Brilliant violet color. Powerful, smoke-accented black raspberry and cherry scents, along with suggestions of minerals and potpourri. Densely packed but surprisingly lithe dark berry, cherry and spicecake flavors show excellent clarity and become sweeter as the wine stretches out. Smoothly plays power off of elegance and finishes with impressive thrust and supple, slow-building tannins.
