Spanish for "black vermouth", Casa Mariol's Vermut Negre is a fascinating, barrel-matured spirit from the Terra Alta region of Catalonia. Becoming more and more popular with an Aussie crowd, you'll be seeing a lot of the distinctive black bottles around.

Flavours of herbs, walnuts and spices can all be found in Vermut Negre. A mixture of old and young barrels in which the liquid is aged also adds to the complexity of this spirit, ensuring personality and consistency.

Drink straight on the rocks with a slice of orange and some olives for the real Spanish tapas experience, or mix it into cocktails for something really interesting. Viva espana!
