TASTING NOTE:

The Albariño grape has seen a significant rise in popularity and availability over the last few years but I am yet to taste one better than this stunning example from Adegas Galegas in Galicia. Produced in Rias Baixas – an area famed for its seafood and fine dining – this opulent white makes for sophisticated summer drinking and is a wine that I come back to year after year. Richly textured and aromatic with hints of well integrated oak and plenty of ripe tropical fruit – a wonderfully refreshing alternative to the usual suspects and an absolute must try before summer is out.
