Fattoria le Pupille, Piemme, 6x75cl

Piemme is the latest artisanal release from Fattoria Le Pupille. Piemme is the transcription of the Italian pronunciation of the initials of the Petit Manseng grape, from which it is made as a single variety. The grapes are harvested slightly later to get more ripeness and aromatics, and with the varieties natural high acidity the wine is beautifully balanced. This is big and powerful and this comes from the grape itself, the extra hang time and the terroir. Orange blossom, chamomile, dried orange skin followed by an oily texture wrapped in orange marmalade, ripe citrus fruits and honey. This is a gastronomic wine which matches well with chicken liver pate and pasta with truffles.
