šŸ· Greywacke – Botrytis Pinot GrisĀ
New Zealand | Marlborough | 100% Pinot Gris (Pinot Grigio)
Style: Sweet White Wine (Late Harvest / Botrytis Affected)**
Winemaking: Made from hand-selected, botrytis-affected grapes harvested late in the season, then fermented slowly to retain natural sweetness and aromatic complexity. Aged in old oak barrels to round out texture without overwhelming the purity of fruit
Farming: From select Marlborough vineyard parcels where cool nights and misty mornings encourage noble rot, intensifying flavour, richness, and varietal expression

šŸ A luscious late-harvest Pinot Gris—exotic, opulent, and exquisitely balanced.

šŸ‘ In the Glass:
Golden amber with honeyed glints—rich and radiant.

šŸ‘ƒ On the Nose:
Intensely aromatic. Layers of poached pear, quince, orange blossom, and dried apricot are lifted by notes of ginger, honeysuckle, and clove.

šŸ‘… On the Palate:
Velvety and concentrated. Ripe tropical fruits, candied citrus, and caramelised pear unfold over a creamy texture. Bright acidity brings lift and freshness to the decadent sweetness, finishing long and harmonious.

šŸ½ Food Pairing:
Perfect with blue cheese, spiced fruit tarts, foie gras, or simply sipped solo as a luxurious dessert in a glass.

ā³ Ageing Potential:
Delicious now but will evolve beautifully over 10–15 years, gaining deeper honeyed and nutty tones.

✨ Why You’ll Love It:
Greywacke’s Botrytis Pinot Gris is a rare New Zealand treasure—seductively sweet yet vibrantly fresh. A small-format indulgence that captures the magic of noble rot and Kevin Judd’s signature winemaking finesse.
